§ Craft · 03.00 Swatches lie. Not on purpose — they're just one square of one finish under one light, photographed in a way that flattens what the wall actually does. Plaster only tells you the truth when raking light hits it under the room's real conditions.
That's why we document every commission after install — wide shots in raking light, detail shots at a sconce or window, frames that show the wall doing its actual work in its actual room. The photography record is part of the spec sheet, not marketing.
It's also why every project page on this site shows the wall in context, not on a sample board. Sample boards are for sign-off. Frames are for understanding.
